As a child she often played poker with her family. When she was 12 years old her family shifted to Las Vegas. When she reached the legal age of playing, she started playing poker in the casinos. She spent a short span of her life as a casino employee, working as a blackjack and poker dealer. Working on both sides of the table she knows her card right that is why she is such in demand. Her motto in life is to be the best in what she is discarding the sexual differences. She is one of the most experienced poker greats of today. She is the kind that believes in performance and thus to keep up her good work she leads a healthy life and tries to keep her mind and body optimally fit for the game.
She started playing poker professionally after she won a tournament in Lake Tahoe. She spent her winnings launch a professional poker career, in 1984. At another tournament, she won $74,000 at Golden Nugget. That was one her biggest wins during that time. Around 1988 she took a break from her career after she married her second husband. She had a girl child called Shannon before she filed for the divorce.
In 1990 at Caesar’s palace she won $62,000 and with that she made her comeback. She lived in L.A., Las Vegas and Washington. In 1993, Cyndy divorced her husband and started living in Atlantic City. She still continued to play in tournaments and continued participating in the World Series of Poker. In 2004 she was one of the 3 women (Annie duke and Kathy Liebert) who won a gold bracelet in WSOP.
Today she has a daughter (Shannon) and till date her total live tournament winnings are more than $1,200,000.She also is an active member of the website Full Tilt Poker.
